French Dispatch Pop-Up
Greenwich Village - New York, NY
2021
To celebrate the NYC release of The French Dispatch, Warby Parker reimagined Whalebone in Greenwich Village as Le Sans Blague Café—a vibrant homage to Wes Anderson’s signature aesthetic.
Arsenal New York led the full interior and exterior transformation, immersing guests in the film’s world. We designed and built a custom canvas awning with a hand-crafted logo, applied a precise shade of yellow to match the film, and constructed two red-painted MDF bars with rounded-edge top panels and metal trim, all color-matched to perfection. The space was further detailed with a stretched canvas photo booth backdrop, floor graphics, curated furniture, and high-top table styling. Exterior lights were spray-painted silver and fitted with remote-controlled bulbs, while custom graphics on the pinball machine and jukebox added the finishing touches to this cinematic experience.
